We chose not to include Iron in our Prenatal & Postnatal Multivitamin formula due to the inhibition of Iron absorption by Calcium. The Mayo Clinic suggests taking Iron and Calcium 1-2 hours apart, so when you do decide to take an Iron supplement, it would be best taken separately from the Prenatal+Postnatal Multivitamin. We understand that these probiotic capsules may have a different smell than our other probiotics; this is due to the choline in the formula. Though we know that choline may not have the most pleasant smell, we chose to include it in this formula since it is an essential nutrient that many women may be depleted of both during and after pregnancy. We also believe that choline is a great addition to this formula as choline is an important nutrient for brain health and cognitive function — for those who are or are not breastfeeding — and for growing babies receiving their nutrients through breastfeeding. But, due to feedback regarding the smell of this product, we incorporated a new food-grade "scent-tab" to help with the smell!
