I opened the bottle and immediately felt sick by smelling it. I am very disappointed. It has a strong ammonia smell and a very dark brown color. I thought someone had poisoned the bottle. Someone needs to look into this as I have now seen that other people are having the same problem. My lot number is the same as the other people who are having the same issue. I am saddened to see I am not the only one experiencing this issue. Especially with how clean/natural Mary Ruth's vitamins are supposed to be. I give these products to my children and am now worried to buy anything else.

Being the first product I’ve bought from MR, I thought I was crazy when I almost puked after taking it. I thought maybe I was being dramatic, but seeing the reviews here and on other websites it looks like there must have been something wrong with a few batches.

I bought my bottle from Whole Foods in person so I’m confident it’s an authentic bottle.

I’ve taken a lot of homeopathic supplements and nothing could have prepared me for the god awful taste of this product. As others have described, it’s a chemical, rancid taste that leaves a burning sensation in your mouth and throat. It doesn’t just taste bad, it tastes like something you shouldn’t even ingest. I’ll be returning this ASAP and looking elsewhere for my supplements.

This is my first time trying the liquid magnesium and I knew as soon as I broke the seal something was wrong. It does contain a nut butter, so could this be what went rancid? I refrigerated it as soon as I received it. And finally when I went to taste it, I couldn’t put it in my mouth for fear I’d be sick all night. The smell, taste, color and consistency are all just bad. Now reading the reviews I see I am not alone. My lot number matches another person on here. I would love a replacement but am worried it won’t matter. Something is very wrong with this and it can’t just be that it’s the “flavor of magnesium,” no, it has to actually be BAD, as in spoiled. It smells poisonous and if the gagging doesn’t make me sick, this surely seems like it has something in it that is harmful. I ordered this on 1/23/24 from Amazon with the 30% off sale being promoted. I guess the young man that took my complaint thought I was deceitful or misleading when I told him it had an Ammonia lead like smell and tasted very horribly and maybe it was a bad batch... So he said that he was gonna let The quality assurance team know and ship me out a new one.. I am so so glad that I kept the first bottle so that I can see if I was going to receive the same batch and behold you see me the same batch cause it has the same lot number and the same BB date. I'm very very disappointed are you trying to make me sick/ poison me cause you know if it smells like ammonia lead something's not right and the color is not even good. I'm gonna send you pictures of the 2 bottles with the same lot number this is not a new batch this is the same batch. I'm so very very disappointed I could just continue to buy from World market or other stores but no I was trying to use Mary Ruth since it's the product from her. So I'm able to qualify for the wellness rewards get discounts because I purchase. Several different items now I'm a little hesitant to open my other liquids that they may taste and smell horribly too..
